Flume is easily one of the most recognizable electro producers right now, but Cosmo’s Midnight is the next wave that we’ll be seeing in 2014. Flume’s original comes in smooth with a flowing synth line. The drums are pronounced but fit in nicely with the bouncy top synth line and the relaxed bass. Cosmo’s Midnight makes the decision to shorten up the drum line and allow the synth to show more. The vocals are pushed back to fit in to fit with that synth line as well. This allows the synth to really come forward and shine. All in all, both songs stand strong in their own styles and seeing the transformation from one to the other is awesome.
